Germ guardian manual ultrasonic humidifier reviews

Quality of Construction 9. Frequency of Filling Value for Price Pluses Very little maintenance! Unlike some of our other humidifiers which need constant changing of filters, cartridges or cleaning of discs, pureguardian added nano-silver particles to the nozzle and tank to disinfect and stop mold and bacteria in the water tank. Only maintenance required is to quickly clean and rinse the tank periodically. The manual controls are designed with ease-of-use in mind. They have a nice stainless steel look to them and are very strong and durable.

There is a night light function that can be turned on or off. When turned on, the circular blue glow can act as a great night light for children! I did like that it has a big container where after filling water up to the top, it can last up to 3 days. I've found the hot steam doesn't really steam up hot steam, it feels just like the cold steams and use up the water alot quicker, so I just use the cold mist option.

I really like this humidifier. It is quiet, lasts a long time on one full tank of water, and is easy to operate.

However there are some cons. First of all, it it not easy to get all of the water out of the tank for cleaning, but that is true of every humidifier I've ever had.

The "warm mist" setting seems just like the cold setting in my opinion. The ultrasonic disk gets dirty quickly, and seems to require cleaning about every five days or so. It also seems to be pretty pricy.

I know humidifiers are expensive, but I'm not sure this one is worth the large additional outlay. I do really like the fact that there are no filters to replace, since that can get really expensive very quickly.

I am completely sold on ultrasonic humidifiers after owning this model. Overall I would recommend, as I think this is one of the best models in this price range. Its cons are really the same as all other humidifiers, and I really love the fact that this unit is SO quiet. I reluctantly bought this humidifier after trying a much cheaper version in my daughter's room. I was frustrated with the cheaper humidifier because it did not put out a fine mist, which left the floor around it soaking wet, it did not have a spray control, constantly needed new filters, and never seemed to work right.

I thought the price of this one was rather extravagant, and I was hesitant to buy it, but eventually gave in, as it seemed to solve all of the problems that I had with the previous humidifier. I immediately loved it! All of the GermGuardian air purifiers in our review are Energy Star certified so that you know they are economical. It will cost less to run this machine per month than other household appliances. GermGuardian Air purifiers run fairly quiet compared to other devices.

Most of the models that we tested below ran between 25 to 55 decibels. If you have the device on the lowest fan speed, it will be quieter than when it is on the turbo fan speed. Every Germ Guardian air purifier comes with a 3-year limited warranty that covers manufacturers defects and other part malfunctions. Make sure that you register your device once you receive it to activate the warranty.

It comes with many features that are suitable for most homeowners. This GermGuardian model comes in a unique tower design that is ideal for people who want to save a little bit of space. The HEPA filter eliminates dust and allergens as small as 0. The charcoal filter helps get rid of unwanted odors. The UV-C light destroys harmful pathogens and bacteria. The last step is the TIO2 treatment, which uses titanium dioxide to eliminate harmful pollutants further.

One thing that we liked about this model is that it came in a tower design, which looks sleek and also saves space.

We thought that the 4-stage filtration system worked well. It is essential that your new machine not disrupt your sleep patterns with a noisy fan. This model comes with a 3-stage filtration system that includes a HEPA filter, a PetPure treatment, and a charcoal filter. This model is different than the last one because it includes a PetPure treatment.

This treatment is applied to the HEPA filter to extend its life and filter out harmful substances like mold and dander caused by pets. This is an ideal option for people who have multiple pets that sleep in their rooms at night. Like the previous model, this version also comes with a UV-C light treatment that will kill harmful pathogens that may cause colds. We liked that this model came with the PetPure treatment included.

It helped get rid of pet odors. It really works and gives results beyond our expectations. We chose the Germ Guardian AC as the best air purifier for allergies. Less sneezing and cleaner air make this model a good choice for allergy sufferers.

This Germ Guardian model comes with three stages of filtration. The first one includes a washable prefilter that will help eliminate the larger particles that make their way indoors.

The next step is a charcoal filter that will remove smaller particles and clear out the odor. The final filter is a true HEPA filter that eliminates even the smallest pollen particles that cause allergies. It was designed for handling pollen and other allergens as opposed to pathogens.

We liked that this model was designed for filtering out allergens that cause sneezing and itchy eyes. This model is best for people who suffer from seasonal allergies caused by spring blossoms. We wish that it came with a UV-C light filter as an added step.

I could tell a difference in my allergies. This model is the biggest that we have reviewed so far. We chose the Germ Guardian AC as the best for large spaces. This model comes with a 4-stage filtration system that includes the same stages as the first model that we reviewed. It starts with a charcoal and PCO filter that eliminates pollutants from indoor air. The other models that we have reviewed do not include a PCO filter, so that is an added bonus. PCO stands for photocatalytic air cleaner, enabling the filter to diffuse harmful substances while also filtering odor with charcoal.

We liked that this model was able to purify the air in rooms as large as square feet. That is greater than the other models on our list. We also liked that it included the 4-stage filtration system.

However, due to its higher capacity tank and humidity output, the H will provide that extra oomph of moisture required for a decent sized bedroom. Overall, we feel confident that the pureguardian H humidifier will provide comfort, relief and better indoor air quality for medium-sized bedrooms up to square feet.

Due to its higher capacity tank and simple operation, we found the pureguardian H to be the right humidifier for those who wish to keep an acceptable amount of moisture in a medium-sized bedroom without having to constantly refill the water tank.

When set on its highest fan speed, the H was able to emit a powerful cool mist for close to 25 hours without the tank running on empty. When on its lowest speed it can consistently run for up to 5 days without refilling. However, running times can vary depending on the atmospheric conditions inside and outside. If under extremely dry conditions, a higher output of moisture will be needed. Additionally, it will not provide sufficient moisture for large areas exceeding square feet. Nevertheless, we were still impressed with how the H quietly provided an adequate level of humidity that made a once dry environment comfortable again.

This humidifier is almost completely silent and basically cannot be heard when placed across the room. Those who are extremely sensitive to light while sleeping may find this bothersome.

In contrast, for those who prefer a night light and comfort, the night lamp button will emit a soothing bluish circle around the control panel.
